ReSPA Summer School - Young Managers in Public Administration

For the first time, in 2012 ReSPA organized the first summer school for the duration of two weeks in its premises at the ReSPA Campus. ReSPA Summer School is dedicated to “Young Managers in Public Administration”, where the thematic area was designed to address the most related information and fact based knowledge in wide spectrum of interconnected topics such as: Leadership (change management) skills and Communication skills, Public administration and EU integration, Public sector policies and Public finance management. The proposed topics and subtopics were selected in line with structural complexity of the Western Balkan countries and being very important to all aspects of the EU integration process. The overall objective of the summer school was to develop the necessary capacities of the young managers, by developing their soft skills as well as by transferring the necessary knowledge on the selected topics. The specific objective was to train the young managers and prepare them for advancement into their prospect careers. The target audiences are young managers’ i.e. junior advisors and/or advisors who are employees of related Ministry dealing with Public Administration Reform, Ministries being in charge for the EU integration process and other related state institutions. Young Managers in Public Administration is related to the public servants with up to 5 years of working experience.
