Policy Development and Coordination

We strengthen the role of public administration in advancing the evidence-based policy-making process, better regulation, and policy coordination in the Western Balkan

Over the years, we have worked with the governments in the Western Balkans towards better policy planning and development and their adjustment to the EU integration agenda.

With the Regional Thematic Group of Policy Development and Coordination (PDC), ReSPA develops administrative capacities for policy planning, better regulation, and adjusting to the EU integration agenda, together with the Centre-of-Government (CoG) institutions.

We have established regional intergovernmental networks and professional cooperation among the senior officials in charge of policy development, coordination, and better regulation. Jointly we identify common priorities among the Western Balkans governments, based on which our team proposes practical, problem-solving measures to be undertaken, such as peer-to-peer learning, on-demand technical assistance support, working visits, policy analyses, and mobility schemes.

Jointly with our partners and prominent experts from the region and the globe, we foster peer learning and enable forums for policy dialogue and working visits to the OECD and EU Member States to support reform processes of our Members in given thematic areas.

We will continue to support reducing unnecessary burdens for citizens, businesses, and public administration and create a more competitive business environment that will gradually bring prosperity to the region.
