High-Level Cybersecurity Conference “Towards a resilient cyberspace in the Western Balkans,” held by Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), spotlighted the importance of regional cooperation in advancing cyber resilience to cyber threats in the Western Balkans and the lessons learned from EU Member States and EU institutions. The Western Balkan Ministers, high-level officials, experts and partners from the region and EU presented views on the challenges the region has been facing in the area of cybersecurity and the work undertaken towards greater cyber resilience.

“The Conference spotlighted the importance of regional and international cooperation and peer learning in building resilient cyberspace in the Western Balkans. In line with the digitization and service delivery agenda of ReSPA, we stand ready to support the enhanced capacity-building efforts in the public sector that are necessitated by the ever-changing cyber threats landscape by organising regional collaborative meetings essential for sharing experiences from the region, connecting teams dealing with the cybersecurity in the region and with their colleagues from the EU Members and EU Institutions or providing tailor-made training programmes,” said Maja Handjiska-Trendafilova, ReSPA Director.

On the sidelines of the Conference, Director Handjiska and Minister Maraš Dukaj signed the document aimed at implementing the European Common Assessment Framework (CAF) in the Ministry of the Public Administration of Montenegro that will lead to optimized internal procedures and better quality of services to citizens. ReSPA looks forward to supporting one of our main institutional partners on this self-assessment and transformational journey that stems from our overall efforts to support the deployment of quality management tools in public administration.
