Director HANDJISKA-TRENDAFILOVA and Mr Vasileios EXARCHOS, Vice-President of Greece's National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation between public administration teams in the Western Balkans and their counterparts in the EU, thereby facilitating the EU accession process through enhanced administrative capacities.

“Signing this MoU is another step forward in our steadily evolving partnership with EKDDA,” said Director HANDJISKA-TRENDAFILOVA. This MoU is an important step forward in our partnership with EKDDA. Leveraging on the vast expertise and practice, together we will work on co-creating various learning and capacity-building programs to foster the professional growth of civil servants and support policy reforms in the areas of public sector modernisation and digitalisation”.

The cooperation will be operationalised with a working visit in autumn of public servants from the region in Athens on “digital infrastructure and services”, while Greek lecturers will provide their expertise in specific ReSPA training.
