62nd Governing Board Meeting at Senior Official Level: Key Achievements and Future Plans in Public Administration Reform
4 October 2024, Ljubljana, Slovenia
During the High-Level Conference on Innovative HRM for Future-Ready Public Administration, the ReSPA Secretariat held the 62nd GB Meeting at the Senior Official Level, providing a comprehensive overview of its achievements from the last quarter (1 June – 15 September 2024) and outlining plans for the upcoming period, focusing on the 16th Governing Board meeting at the Ministerial level, which will take place alongside the Donor Dialogue, the Public Administration Awards Ceremony, and a High-Level Policy Dialogue.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of ReSPA’s new Strategic Orientation 2025–2030. This strategy, developed in collaboration with working group members, the Governing Board, external experts, and ReSPA's Advisory Board, sets the organization’s long-term direction. In July, a Consultative Workshop was held involving ReSPA Secretariat members and external specialists who contributed to drafting the strategy. The first draft is now complete and will be circulated to the Governing Board, Advisory Board, DG NEAR, and Liaison Officers for online consultation by mid-September, with plans for formal adoption during the Governing Board meeting at the Ministerial level in November 2024.
The meeting also presented key findings from ReSPA's 2024 monitoring cycle. This included insights from post-event surveys, overall participant satisfaction feedback, post-event reports on 2023’s on-demand support projects, and updates on implementing recommendations from ReSPA’s studies.
On the financial front, the ReSPA Secretariat presented the IFRS Financial Statements, the Interim Financial Report for 1 January – 30 June 2024, the Draft Budget for 2025/2026, and the Draft Financial Envelope for 2025.
The next 63rd Governing Board Meeting at the Senior Official Level is scheduled for the first half of December 2024.
