Strengthening Cooperation with Parliamentary Administrations: ReSPA Hosted the Assembly of North Macedonia
8 September 2025, ReSPA
Today, ReSPA had the pleasure of hosting Ms. Marina Dimovska, General Secretary of the Assembly of North Macedonia, alongside Ms. Hristina Sofronijoska, State Advisor, and Ms. Svetlana Naumovska, Head of Department. ReSPA Director Maja Handjiska-Trendafilova and Programme Manager Jelena Mrdak warmly welcomed them.
The meeting built on the momentum of last year’s joint ReSPA/SIGMA Conference, opening new avenues for collaboration with parliamentary administrations across the region. Discussions focused on joint efforts in human resources, digitization, Open Parliaments, impact assessments, quality management standards and CAF, and the exchange of good practices with EU Member States.
“Strengthening cooperation with parliamentary administrations is key to promoting effective, transparent, and citizen-oriented governance in the Western Balkans,” emphasized ReSPA Director Handjiska-Trendafilova.
Participants agreed that enhancing collaboration between ReSPA and parliaments can significantly contribute to building resilient democratic institutions and advancing the region’s integration into the European Administrative Space.
“The constructive spirit of today’s dialogue confirms our shared commitment to developing modern, professional, and open institutions,” noted Ms. Dimovska.
Looking ahead, ReSPA will continue to facilitate knowledge-sharing and joint initiatives with parliamentary services in the region, ensuring that today’s discussions translate into tangible improvements for public administration and democratic governance.
