We are strengthening the role of public administration in better coordination of public policies in the Western Balkan governments
Over the years, we have been working together with the WB governments to move the region closer to the values and standards of the European Union and to benefit from the stability, prosperity, and rising living standards that are the hallmarks of strong European democracies.
We in CoG Working Group are developing administrative capacities for policy planning and adjusting to the EU integration agenda, together with the Western Balkans Centre-of-Government (CoG) institutions. That means improving the role of public administration in better coordination of public policies that will gradually bring prosperity for citizens and businesses.
We have established regional intergovernmental networks and professional cooperation among WB senior officials in charge of policy development in given thematic areas. Jointly we identify common priorities among WB governments, based on which our team proposes practical – problem-solving measures to be undertaken such as peer-to-peer learning, in-country support, working visits, and mobility schemes.
As a regional hub for experience exchange, peer learning, and programme streamlining, we also organize forums for policy dialogue as well as working visits to the OECD and EU Member States to support reform processes of our Members in given thematic areas.
