Workshop on Developing and Monitoring National Programs and Planning Documents for EU Accession (focus on the National Programs for the Adoption of the Acquis) back-to-back with the Regional Thematic Group on EU Integration Meeting, 16-17 December 2024

The Workshop on developing and monitoring National Programs and Planning Documents for EU accession with a focus on the National Programmes for the Adoption of the Acquis is nominated by the members of the Regional Thematic Group and the participants of ReSPA’s activities in the domain of EU integration in the previous year. It is designed to address the main issues regarding adapting existing national frameworks in line with the restructured approach to accession negotiations and allow for peer learning and exchange. The development and updating of the National Programs for the Adoption of the Acquis will be the focus of the workshop, being the core document of the main segments of accession negotiations, which is the harmonization of legislation. The meeting will bring together public servants in charge of coordinating the EU integration process and leading/coordinating EU accession negotiations (where applicable) and those in charge of coordinating the EU pre-accession assistance. In addition, the activity is designated for civil servants working on the preparation of the core accession documents in their respective administrations.

The program is designed to suit the needs of public servants working in ministries/ departments for European integration, specifically on preparing, monitoring, and reporting on the implementation of the National Programs for the Adoption of the Acquis and other key EU accession documents and for the members of the ReSPA Regional Thematic Group on EU Integration.
