ReSPA is organizing the Meeting of the Regional Thematic Group on Digital Transformation and Training on eIDAS and eIDAS 2.0, on 26 and 27 February in Podgorica, Montenegro. 

The meeting will focus on eIDAS and eIDAS 2.0 implementation, assessing digitalization progress, and leveraging ReSPA’s support mechanisms to enhance public sector digital services. Analysing eIDAS regulations will help ReSPA members align their national systems with EU standards, and will also assess the state of digitalization across ReSPA beneficiaries, using key benchmarks such as the UN e-Government Survey, GovTech Maturity Index, DESI, and Balkan Barometer 2024. While progress has been made, challenges such as policy alignment, cybersecurity risks, and infrastructure gaps remain. Addressing these issues collectively will accelerate digital transformation efforts.

Participants will also explore ReSPA’s instruments of support, review ongoing initiatives, and identify priority areas for 2025-2027, which will help tailor support to evolving digitalization needs.

This meeting aims to strengthen digital frameworks, enhance interoperability, and drive the next phase of digital transformation across ReSPA members by fostering regional cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and strategic planning.
