Following the Ministerial Dialogue, ReSPA will organise the workshop “Strategic Foresight in Governments” - the culmination of the successful Italy–Western Balkans Capacity Building Programme, which has played a pivotal role in strengthening administrative cooperation and promoting sustainable reforms in public administration across the Western Balkans.

 Aimed at strengthening the capacity of public officials to anticipate and prepare for emerging policy challenges, and crafted in cooperation with the Italian National School of Administration (SNA), the workshop will be delivered in Rome, in SNA premises.

Participants will work with practical foresight tools—such as horizon scanning and futures wheels—to explore the theme “Challenges Path to European Union Membership.”

This hands-on, skills-oriented approach will enable public officials to transform foresight insights into actionable policy recommendations, fostering futures literacy and embedding strategic foresight practices into policymaking. The initiative aims to support the development of adaptive, forward-looking administrations aligned with European governance standards.
