ReSPA, in cooperation with the Croatian National School for Public Administration and the University of Applied Sciences Kehl, is pleased to announce the conference “From Insight to Action II: Developing Public Sector Leadership Capabilities in the AI Era”, to be held on 8–9 December 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia.

Building on the first “From Insight to Action” conference held in Zagreb in December 2025, this second edition will explore how public administration training institutions can move beyond delivering individual courses to building lasting leadership and institutional capabilities. With artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and growing citizen expectations reshaping the public sector, the conference will focus on the leadership capacities needed to drive responsible innovation, organisational learning and citizen-centred reform.

Through high-level discussions, practical examples and interactive sessions, participants will examine leadership in the AI era, the changing role of training academies, and ways to integrate peer learning, coaching and AI-enabled approaches into leadership development. The programme includes a scenario-based leadership practice lab and a collaborative “Transformation Café”, in which participating institutions will design concrete leadership capability pilots, identifying institutional ownership, AI safeguards and indicators for follow-up.

The conference is particularly intended for directors and senior managers of public administration academies and training institutions, as well as senior officials responsible for leadership development and professional development in ReSPA Members.
