Conference Transforming the Future: A Digital Strategy for a Modern Society
ReSPA and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of North Macedonia are organising the Conference “Transforming the Future: A Digital Strategy for a Modern Society”, on 19 December 2025 in Skopje, North Macedonia.
At the 119th session of the Government, held on 14 October 2025, the National Strategy for ICT Development: SMART/MK 2030 was adopted. The Strategy is based on four key pillars that reflect the priorities of the “Digital Europe” programme and set aligned targets and action guidelines for the entire country. The Strategy is not the exclusive responsibility or ownership of the Ministry of Digital Transformation; rather, every institution, chamber, and relevant partner plays a crucial role in its effective implementation and the achievement of its goals.
The conference will focus on the key pillars of digital transformation, which include:
a) ensuring modern, fast, and accessible ICT infrastructure for all citizens and institutions;
b) strengthening digital competencies and skills to facilitate the use of digital services;
c) modernizing and digitalizing public services for greater efficiency and security; and
d) encouraging innovation and the development of competitive business models that enhance the country’s economic and technological competitiveness.
These topics provide a framework for constructive discussion on further advancing the digital society and supporting the implementation of the SMART/MK 2030 Strategy.
Conference Objectives:
• To present and clarify the four pillars of the SMART/MK 2030 Strategy and their importance for the country’s digital transformation.
• To identify practical cooperation opportunities among institutions, businesses, and citizens for achieving the strategic goals.
• To encourage dialogue on innovation, the application of new technologies, and the development of competitive solutions that improve digital infrastructure and public services.
