ReSPA Training Manager Goran Pastrovic attends the Second Meeting of the Working group on Institutional capacity(Ljubljana, 21 – 22 March 2013)
ReSPA Training Manager Goran Pastrovic participated in the Second Meeting (Ljubljana, 21 – 22 March 2013) of the Working group on Institutional capacity which was as a topic elaborated within Working group devoted to EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). The EUSDR strategy responds to the challenges in the Danube region countries by addressing four main objectives that focus on (i) connecting the Danube region, (ii) protecting the environment, (iii) building prosperity, and (iv) strengthening the region.
These objectives are incorporated within 11 priority areas and one of those areas is Institutional Capacity and Cooperation for which CEF and the City of Vienna are responsible for. At the second meeting the participants received overview of needs assessment methodologies and methods used to collect, analyze and work upon the identified capacity needs by United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) capacity development experts and in addition the approaches of the Working Group members in identifying institutional capacity needs have been also presented including overall methodology for the Capacity Needs Assessment that ReSPA is implementing with respect to the CNA 2012 findings.
