Session on Beneficial Transparency – joint virtual session with OGP at Western Balkans Regional Meeting
Today at virtual Session of Proactive Transparency, jointly organized by ReSPA and OGP as a part of the OGP Western Balkans Regional Meeting, the attendees discussed how the countries in the region are dealing with proactive transparency by looking into issues of access to information laws and into some aspects of policies and practices in opening public data.
Ms Nataša Veljković, guest speaker from the University of Niš, Serbia, presented the complex issue of standardisation in opening the data, especially related to metadata as well as the need for interoperability and the application of interoperability, open data portals and their role. Mr Božo Zeba, guest speaker from the State Central Office for the Development of Digital Society of Croatia, presented the developments, achievements and challenges related to opening up public data in Croatia.
