Congratulations to the Winners and Special Recognitions of this year’s Public Administration Awards contest!
ReSPA, in partnership with OECD/SIGMA, hosted the Ceremony for the Public Administration Awards in the Western Balkans and announced three winners and eight initiatives that deserve special recognition. The Ceremony was a part of the Western Balkans Ministerial Conference on PAR held in Skopje, North Macedonia.
As the motto of this year’s contest was “A leap to better citizen’s lives in the Western Balkans”, awarded initiatives have been recognized as examples of future-oriented, inspirational practices that provide improved services for better lives of our citizens in the region.
The Winners of the
Public Administration Awards 2022 in the Western Balkans:
Administration for Inspection Affairs of Montenegro for the Initiative “Central Information System for Consumer Protection (CISCP)”
Central Register of the Republic of North Macedonia, on behalf of the Management Board of the Regional Portal BIFIDEX, comprised of five jurisdictions from the Republic of Albania, Republika Srpska-Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia, for the Initiative: “BIFIDEX: Beyond National – One Stop Shop Services Through Their Digitalization and Interoperability in the Western Balkans”
Awarded institutions with Special Recognition:
Special Recognition Award for Trust Building in Public Administration won Initiative Electronic Complaint Submission (e – Complaint) from the Public Procurement Commission of Republic of Albania
Special Recognition Award for Transparency in Public Administration won Initiative Web Platform e-Consultations from the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Special Recognition Award for Adaptive Reuse and Replicability of Good Practices won Initiative Electronic Registration of a Child in Republika Srpska - e Baby from the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Special Recognition Award for Green Responsiveness and Vision won Initiative NasaGorica.me from the Capital City Podgorica, Montenegro
Special Recognition Award for Back-end Enabler for Digital Transformation and Enhanced Adaptability won Initiative National Population Register of North Macedonia from the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, Republic of North Macedonia
Joint Special Recognition Award for Youth Empowerment and Employment won two Initiatives from the Republic of Serbia: Candidates Corner from the Human Resource Management Service and Initiative the Student Professional Practice in Public Administration Fair from the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government
Special Recognition Award for Accessibility and Inclusiveness won Initiative Inter-Municipal Cooperation Improvement with an Aim of Strengthening the Capacity of the Service for Mobility and Communication Support from City Municipality of Vračar, Belgrade, Republic of Serbia
Special Recognition Award for Enhanced and Ensured Stability and Continuity won Initiative: Taxpayer Portal – EDI from the Tax Administration of Kosovo*
The PA Award 2022 winners’ teams are awarded the working visit to Spain.
The initiatives awarded with Special Recognitions will join them in the one-day training on building Innovation plans.
PA Awards is a joint endeavor of ReSPA and OECD/SIGMA devoted to encouraging innovativeness and healthy competition between institutions of public administrations in the Western Balkans and promoting the champions. This year’s round of the contest received an almost doubled number of applications compared with the first round, which confirmed the potential of the Western Balkans public administrations to provide public services that contribute to the better lives of the citizens while showing outstanding innovativeness in digital solutions, comprehension of all the needs in societies and constant striving to enhance the quality of services and their providers.
