Handjiska-Trendafilova: Fruitful Discussions With Minister Martinović Towards Fully Harnessing the Prospects For Regional Networking, Knowledge and Utilizing Respa's Boosted Instruments to Meet Growing Needs Towards Modern Public Administration
ReSPA Director Handjiska Trendafilova met Mr Aleksandar Martinovic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of the Republic of Serbia (MDULS). Director Handjiska congratulated Minister Martinović on his appointment and expressed her gratitude for the fact that MDULS, as the main institutional partner of ReSPA, is a strong contributor to deepened regional cooperation in the area of public administration reforms in the Western Balkans.
Fully harnessing the prospects for regional networking, knowledge and experience exchange and utilizing ReSPA's boosted instruments to meet the growing needs towards building modern, professional, open, accountable and transparent public administrations as attractive employers were some of the takeaways from the meeting.
They also underlined the significance of continuous training of civil servants, with Director Handjiska emphasizing that NAPA has become a brand in the region and a role model for other economies in the region to set standards in the professional development of public administration employees.
