Study Visit to Ludovika University and the Government of Hungary: Intricacies of the EU Membership and the Hungarian EU Presidency Closer to the Civil Servants from the Region

During a three-day study visit to Ludovika University and the Government of Hungary, 20 civil servants from the region dealing with Policy Development and European Integration were immersed in the Hungarian experience with EU Membership, its upcoming EU Presidency, and various important topics for accelerating the region's EU integration process.
Guided by 14 experts and lecturers from diverse governmental structures, universities, and academia, participants delved into the preparation of highly skilled civil servants across all levels of Hungarian state administration. The focus was on elucidating the professional development models for Hungarian civil servants, harnessing EU programs, and highlighting leading Hungarian educational and training institutions in public policy.
Visit to the Ludovika University of Public Service, the Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies, the discussions with the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development representatives and the Ministry of European Affairs offered participants a firsthand opportunity to glean best policy development and regulation practices. Moreover, they were updated on crucial elements of continuous professional development of civil servants, as well as key considerations during the upcoming Hungary's presidency of the EU in this realm. Finally, the study visit provided an invaluable platform for exchanging insights on Hungarian EU membership and participation in EU institutions.
