Mobility Scheme: The Montenegro Ministry of Finance Collaborated with Counterparts from the Croatian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development to Explore the Implementation of a Dynamic Public-Private Partnership
8-11 May 2024, Zagreb, Croatia
The delegation from the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro, led by General Director Ms Jelena JOVETIĆ, accompanied by representatives from the Investment Agency of Montenegro, engaged in a fruitful exchange of insights with their Croatian counterparts from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development regarding the utilisation of public-private partnerships as a strategic model for realising investment endeavours.
Aiming to improve the framework for the implementation of public-private partnership policies through a joint approach, as well as encourage further development in this area, they discussed the motives and drivers for important investment projects, the specificity of certain types of investments, as well as all the challenges from the moment of presenting the investment idea.
"We especially appreciate the continuation of partnership relations with the Republic of Croatia and the help they have provided us through the system's institutions since the establishment of the regulatory framework, as well as now during its implementation," underscored JOVETIĆ.
Through constructive dialogue with stakeholders from key sectors, including health, education, transportation, private enterprises, and representatives from the European Investment Bank, comprehensive guidance was provided on the avenues for leveraging investment concepts through this strategic partnership model.
By establishing a network at the regional level, the MPA team from Montenegro want to adopt advanced practice, thus creating an investment environment in which the private partners will be glad to make available their "know-how" to the public side to build greater value for society as a whole through the partner relationship.
