61st Senior Official Governing Board Meeting: Recap of the Last Quarter and Charting a Dynamic Plan for the Next Quarter

In the 61st Governing Board Meeting, the ReSPA Secretariat reviewed the previous quarter's achievements and elaborated on forthcoming activities, focusing on a high-level ministerial dialogue on PAR, a donor conference, the PA Awards 2024 Ceremony, and numerous capacity-building and mobility initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of public servants in the Western Balkans.

Last Quarter Highlights:

  • 21 capacity-building and networking actions reached 318 public servants;
  • 7 "on-demand support" projects were implemented under the “ReSPA Horizontal Facility”;
  • 1 “e-government pilot” initiative was launched;
  • 7 Mobility Scheme projects were executed;
  • 3 scholarships were awarded to top public servants for attending learning activities under the EU initiative PACE
  • Through the Regional Quality Management Centre, 9 CAF external evaluations (PEF procedures) were conducted for institutions applying for the CAF Effective User Label;
  • Preparation for signing two MoUs with the National Institute of Public Administration, Romania, and the Greek National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA);
  • French seconded expert is expected to join ReSPA in early autumn.

ReSPA Director announced a series of activities, highlighting the upcoming 16th Governing Board Meeting at the Ministerial Level with back-to-back events: a High-Level Policy Dialogue, the PA Awards 2024, and a Donor Dialogue on PAR and Good Governance.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present the New ReSPA Strategic Orientation 2025-2030 and for the Governing Board Senior Officials to adopt the ReSPA Audit Report for 2023.

The Director also announced ReSPA's involvement in the HORIZON Programme, focusing on delivering capacity-building programs and participating in activities organized by other partners, emphasizing its significance for ReSPA’s development and regional impact.

The next Governing Board Meeting at the Senior Official Level is scheduled for the first half of October 2024.
