2nd Cycle of the Mobiltiy programme with Italian institutions: EU integration and Digitalization Modules

In the continuation of the Executive Training on European Integration and Digital Transformation initiated in Podgorica in April 2024, ReSPA will continue in Caserta and Rome from 11 to 14 June 2024.

The participants from the Western Balkans will get to learn more about the EU accession process and Digitalization, acquiring in-depth knowledge in specific areas, crucial for the professionalisation of the public service toward EU membership and more effective digitalization.

Within the EU Integration Module, participants will be able to learn the nuances between different EU funding mechanisms through practical exercises and learning from experts with years of experience working for and with the European Commission. In addition, the program will offer an insight into some of the most relevant trends and tendencies of the EU in the region specifically the Reform and Growth Facility and the importance of the reform of environmental policies. The training at the National School of Public Administration premises in Caserta will be followed by a study visit to Italian institutions in Rome carefully selected based on the profiles of participants and their needs for peer exchange.

Within the Digital Transformation Module,  participants will examine the different aspects of using AI in public administration and visit to  National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN)  (Rome, 13th June) which is an outstanding opportunity to hear more about the Italian approach to cybersecurity within the Cybersecurity module, "Cybersecurity, the Italian approach", which will be held by Prof. Paolo Atzeni, Director for Competence and Capacity Building at ACN, and Prof. Bernardo Palazzi, ACN expert. The participants will thus learn about the Italian Cybersecurity Architecture, the role of ACN and its internal organization as well as of the needs and modalities in developing cybersecurity skills and competencies. Additionally, the workshop will capture an introduction to some technical aspects of cybersecurity such as confidentiality, integrity, availability triad, and access control, with practical examples of password security.
